Contamination of antibiotics in bodies of water is a subject as invisible to the naked eye as it is to the public. When manufacturing antibiotics, nearby water sources are at times contaminated by factory waste. This, in turn, disturbs whole ecosystems as antibiotics seep into drinking water and into water used for farming and aquaculture. The water contamination is a contributing factor to bacteria becoming resistant to antibiotics. Despite the issue lacking in visibility, it is of utmost importance that the topic is brought to light.
